About this collection...
The Brebner/Bremner death database comprises a collection of over 17,000 records (March 2008) compiled from a variety of sources, including Scottish OPR, Scottish NRH records, the IGI, statutory English and Welsh, as well as Australian, Canadian and American deaths. Information from gravestones, monumental inscriptions, as well as newpaper obituaries is also included here. This is the most comprehensive collection of deaths and burials for those researching the Brebner/Bremner name available.
For many deaths, and for most in the last half of the 19th century, connections to families and compiled genealogies have been established.

All common variants of names are now searched; ie: Katie, Kathrine, Catharine etc. will all produce the same results, as will Isabel, Isobella, Bella, etc. If in doubt, use the most common spelling.
