Aiken/Aitken Ancestors in the North-East of Scotland

My early Aiken/Aitken ancestors can be traced back to Andrew Aiken and Susan Forsyth in Ellon, ABD. Most of the Aiken families worked predominantly in agriculture in the parishes of Ellon, Foveran and Udny just north of Aberdeen. One branch of that family, my own group, came to Aberdeen in the late 1830s.
