I have revisited the Bremner records at the
Moray Local Heritage Service LIBINDX site
and added a number of new records, as well as details for several hundred existing BMD index records. I made an initial
transcription of these records, formerly known as the Grant Lodge Collection in 2004, and I'm pleased to
note that the collection has grown considerably in the past few years.
These records are derived from a variety of sources, including contemporary newspaper announcements
as well as Poor Relief records, burial records, and non-conformist baptisms. While these focus primarily on
the counties of Morayshire and Banffshire, there are details of citizens from as far afield as Canada and
Australia.
